COVID-19 AGENDA

This year being a year of COVID-19 outbreak in most part of the world. Our team took upon itself to raise funds  to help support both the needy and vulnerable by providing the with basic amenities like food items, hand sanitizers, face masks, detergents and also educating them on the virus.

As part of our fund raising, we also received donations from friends and families who willingly voluntered   in making our mission a success by helping to support over 300 people and educating members in various communities and at the comfort of their homes.

With regards to our education forum on COVID-19, we were glad to receive the support of some health workers ( doctors and nurses) who helped in awareness creation and educating people in various communities on the necessary precautions and measures to adhere to prevent getting infected and spreading.
We believe that, the provision of these basic amenities is going to help reduce the spread of the virus and as well help protect themselves from getting infected with the virus. Likewise, the educational programme has  given them some   knowledge and insight about the virus.

With all being said and done, together, we can fight the virus.

COVID-19 IS REAL ! STAY SAFE AND WEAR FACE MASK.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness. The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes and how it spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol based rub frequently and not touching your face. The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it’s important that you also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing into a flexed elbow). At this time, there are no specific vaccines or treatments for COVID-19. However, there are many ongoing clinical trials evaluating potential treatments. WHO will continue to provide updated information as soon as clinical findings become available. Stay informed:
